My name is Sandy and my unique training and experience allows me to be able to provide expert advice with regards to all aspects of pregnancy, labour, birth and after (postpartum).  I became a Registered Nurse in 1994 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery at McMaster over a 3-year span (fast-tracked) and graduated with Honours in 1997.

I practiced Midwifery for over 23 years at Niagara Midwives which I, and another midwife, opened in 1997 as the first Midwifery Practice in the Niagara Region.  I am very proud of my legacy at Niagara Midwives and feel blessed to been able to attend nearly 1000 births.

I have also been blessed with educating Midwifery students at McMaster University since 2001 and have also taught at Niagara College in the Nursing and PSW Program.

I developed the Birth Unafraid Prenatal Program in 2015 and am happy to report it has been an extremely rewarding endeavour since the feedback I have received from clients and colleagues has been overwhelmingly positive.  I look forward to meeting you in one of the upcoming sessions and trust you will gain a wealth of knowledge to help you experience a rewarding, stress-free, positive birthing experience.
